Overview
The Research agent is your starting point. Before building anything, it helps you answer: is this directory worth building? It combines web search, competitor analysis, and keyword data to give you a data-driven assessment.
Research uses the Compass icon in indigo (#6366f1) and organizes its work across five canvas tabs: Overview, Demand, Competitors, Monetization, and Keywords.
What It Does
Demand Analysis
Research estimates the size and growth of your target market. It pulls search volume data, trending topics, and audience demographics to score demand on a 1-100 scale.
Competitor Research
The agent identifies existing directories, aggregators, and marketplaces in your niche. For each competitor it catalogs listing count, domain authority, monetization model, and feature set.
Keyword Discovery
The Keywords tab surfaces high-intent search terms your directory can rank for. Research clusters keywords by topic, estimates ranking difficulty, and identifies long-tail opportunities.
When to Use It
Use Research at the very beginning of a new project, or when considering expanding into a new category or geographic market.
