Installation

Download and install DirectoryKit on macOS, Windows, or Linux.

System Requirements

Download

Visit the download page to get the latest version for your platform.

macOS

1. Download the .dmg file for your architecture (Apple Silicon or Intel)
2. Open the DMG and drag DirectoryKit to your Applications folder
3. On first launch, right-click and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper

Windows

1. Download the .exe installer
2. Run the installer and follow the prompts
3. Choose your installation directory (default is recommended)
4. DirectoryKit will appear in your Start menu

Linux

1. Download the .AppImage file
2. Make it executable: chmod +x DirectoryKit-*.AppImage
3. Run it: ./DirectoryKit-*.AppImage

Post-Install Setup

On first launch, DirectoryKit will:

1. Create a local workspace directory
2. Ask you to sign in or create an account
3. Guide you through connecting your AI API key
