Installation
Download and install DirectoryKit on macOS, Windows, or Linux.

Download
Visit the download page to get the latest version for your platform.
macOS
- Download the
.dmgfile for your architecture (Apple Silicon or Intel) - Open the DMG and drag DirectoryKit to your Applications folder
- On first launch, right-click and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper
Windows
- Download the
.exeinstaller - Run the installer and follow the prompts
- Choose your installation directory (default is recommended)
- DirectoryKit will appear in your Start menu
Linux
- Download the
.AppImagefile - Make it executable:
chmod +x DirectoryKit-*.AppImage - Run it:
./DirectoryKit-*.AppImage
Post-Install Setup
On first launch, DirectoryKit will:
- Create a local workspace directory
- Ask you to sign in or create an account
- Guide you through connecting your AI API key
